The Thomasmuehle introduces itself:
The property used as a mill was first officially mentioned in 1465 and since then has been family owned. The apartments 10, 11 and 12 are still standing on their foundation walls. Around 1743 a new, bigger mill was built in today´s residential house. In 1910 the family moved into a, at this time modern, 5-storeys mill. 1991 the operation was relocated to Schlauersbach. In Leutershausen specialities like 'Ballheim´s Brotmehl' and whole grain flours are being produced.
In Leutershausen and its surrounding area various restaurants, e.g. the tied house in Jochsberg, are offering local and seasonal dishes at moderate pricing.
Wellness
Right next to the Thomasmuehle the health and wellness area "VITALIS"is placed. On 135 square metres 'VITALIS' is offering massages, medical fitness equipment, Ayurveda, wellness baths and a lot more. Appointments and support on demand.

Fishing
Whereas in the past the agriculture was multi layered today it is specialised on fish breeding of carps, pikes and tench in approximately 20 ponds. This enables you a fishing experience right in front of your door.
Our angling shop 'Angelmarkt Ballheim' is well known across the boarders of Bavaria. On 600 square metres the Ballheim Family and their employees are offering a very wide range of fishing tackles, pond farming supplies, smokers and outdoor clothing, not only for anglers. You can also buy day tickets for our lake, the Franconian Lakes, the Altmuehl or the Woernitz.
